Delete your account

You can delete your Quirky account whenever you want, without asking anyone's permission. There are two ways.
Option 1 — In the app (recommended)
- Open Quirky and sign in.
- Tap your profile, then Settings.
- Scroll to Account controls.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Before deleting, we will ask you to confirm your identity: your password if you signed up with email and password, or a fresh sign-in with Google or Apple. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Before deleting: if you want a copy of your data, use Settings → Export my data first. Nothing can be recovered after deletion.
Option 2 — Without the app
If you uninstalled the app or lost access, write to firenze@firenzeprogramacao.com.br with the subject "Quirky account deletion", stating your registered email. We may ask for confirmation to make sure the request is really yours. We complete it within 15 days.
What gets erased
- your profile and all your personal information;
- your quirks, photos and videos;
- your matches and all your conversations;
- the likes (Would Date) you sent and received;
- your testimonies;
- your selfie and profile verification request;
- your notification identifiers;
- your sign-in credential;
- testimonies you wrote about other people;
- photos, videos and audio other people sent in conversations with you;
- your approximate location and your preferences.
Removal starts immediately. Technical copies kept for failure recovery are eliminated within 7 days.
What we must keep
- Reports received about your account and the record of our team's actions on it, for 12 months, to investigate abuse and answer authorities. Reports you filed are kept without your identity and without the text you wrote.
- Access records (date and time, IP, operating system and version of each app start), for the 6 months the Brazilian Internet Act (art. 15) requires; they expire and are deleted on their own.
- Technical logs of our servers (which may contain your account identifier, never content), deleted automatically after 30 days.
None of this allows your profile to be rebuilt, and none of it is visible to any user.
